Hello everyone! One of my colleagues has a mother whose 18 month old has a
habit of picking at several moles on one of her breasts while she is
nursing. The child has picked enough to cause ulceration of one of the
moles and bleeding of another. Mom has tried saying no, interrrupting the
feeding, and holding her hand, but to no avail. The child does it at the
point of dropping off to sleep while nursing, so mom hasn't been consistent
about trying to stop the habit, b/c she wants her to go to sleep. Chronic
picking at a skin lesion is associated with malignant changes. Any
suggestions out there that I can offer my colleague? thanks, Terry
