This family went home after just 9 days and the mom had not put the baby to breast much while in the hospital. I did work with her the day they went home and we ended up using a shield and the baby did pretty fabulously (is that a word)?

Mom breastfeeds about once a day, but seems reluctant to do more because of the low supply. I am trying to get her to come in so we can try the SNS. She is really on the fence about continuing to work at this. I think she is just exhausted. Sounds like husband is gone all day at work. Mom did do lots of kangaroo in the hospital. (Our hospital is set up with each SCN baby having a private suite with a room for them and a separate room for the parents with a queen bed and private bath - resulting in lot of opportunities for kangaroo and breastfeeding).

Any guesses as to why the Avent manual gets out more milk than the Symphony or Classic?

What I had heard about the betamethasone was it seems to delay things for 2 weeks, she is now at 3 weeks.
