 years ago my niece had a similar problem.At the time I told her to always start with the smaller breast and it did  smooth out.  I think I would advise this  mom to do block feeding  (8 hrs) and only express a tiny bit in the middle, just enough to be little bit more comfortable. Enough to calm down the supply on that side, for a few days.  Then go back to using both breasts with the smaller breast always first.  The more pumping she does, the more that breast will continue to over produce.  Pat in SNJ
