Dear Kirsten, please don't think I am flaming you - I just disagree with
little, picky comments I'm reading about this or that in this course. Yes,
glaring errors need to be pointed out, but I think we have to be real
here. Consider the people (regular pp staff, drs, nurses) who might be
using this. We (as LCs and Lactivists) know that this is not the "ideal",
but the real world isn't ideal and neither are the people in it! This
course is a good start in the right direction (making people aware) and I
don't really think we need to pick it apart. If a mom has to use a bottle
occasionally in public and the ultimate end is that baby is mostly BF and
occasionally Bot fed, then what is best? And maybe as she gets more
comfortable with BF she will learn to nurse when she is out. I guess I see
a case of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Sorry to be cranky
this am..off to get a shower. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
