Hello,

I am in Australia for the ILCA Board meeting and conference, and would
welcome a physician recommendation for a client of mine in the
Philadelphia, PA, USA area. Here is her request:

"If any of your colleagues has had experience with a case this complicated
(multiple bouts of acute mastitis with abscesses requiring repeated
incisions and drainages with hemorrhage and a fistula/chronic wound) and
has a referral for a physician who has successfully overseen the care of a
patient in a similar situation, I would love to know the name of that
physician. I am willing to travel for a consult with someone in NYC, DC,
Baltimore, etc. or have my records sent and do a phone consult beyond if it
means having some degree of confidence that I truly will be on the road to
a full recovery without the ongoing risk of hemorrhage (which both breast
surgeons I have seen said remains a possibility as long as the wound is
open) or infection."

As she identifies, her case has been very complicated. She is a dedicated
breastfeeding mother nursing her third baby, but is now on the road to
complete weaning after catastrophic issues including a hemorrhage in the
breast where the incisions were, as every physician she has seen has
insisted she must. If you know a physician who might be able to help her
with managing her recovery from this, I welcome your suggestions.

Lisa
