One approach that I didn't see mentioned yet is the use of a
Haberman feeder. We have found it can be a compromise between the
breast and the traditional bottle style. It reduces some of the
differences between breast and bottle. In addition to using it as a
feeding method when a breastfeeding baby needs feeding in addition
to breast, moms who have been trying unsuccessfully to get a baby to
take a bottle have found it is often the answer. It can keep baby
fed until mom can resume nursing directly, or if she is weaning
permanently, it can be a transition to the more common bottle style.
