Your post didn't mention any kind of pain relief for the mother who hurt all
the way through every feeding.    I will leave others more technically
knowledgeable than I to speculate about the causes.   But whatever they are
-- and especially following up the suggestion in the original post that this
lady "just" has really sensitive breasts -- I can't see any reason to withold
analgesics.   Lots of moms think it will be horrible if the baby gets a
little motrin or tylenol in the milk, and its important to remember to tell
them that this little suffering, at least, can be ameliorated (KD I am
smiling a friendly smile at you when I type those words).
