My name is Jessica Rapier and I just moved to Bethesda, MD with my husband and two children. I've recently decided to make a career change and dedicate myself to breastfeed advocacy. My previous career was that of a theatre lighting designer and university professor and I also was a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa. My interest in breastfeeding advocacy began with the birth of my first daughter, though I was boycotting Nestle when I was in elementary school and yes, I could tell you why even at that age!
I joined the list at the recommendation of a very helpful lactation consultant who was kind enough to answer my cold call and field my many questions. I'm very excited about my decision to follow this path. I'll be posting soon asking for advice.
