I would like to add the perspective that this client/mom may feel very
comfortable and supported by you.  In this case, much like our children, she
can let go of anxieties, worries, what overwhelms her, etc. in this "safe"
environment.  She knows she will not be criticized and will receive ongoing
support.   The rest of the time she is holding it in, often presenting a
brave and happy face to family and friends.
