OK, I have been reading these posts with some interest and now am getting
concerned about our 1 year pediatrician appointment. I generally tell
clients to look at the child's behavior, activity level and general
appearance to determine if a child is getting enough or weighs enough. In
reading these posts, I am wondering if I am going to get hassled at our 1 yr.
appt coming up because my son JUST doubled his birth weight at 11 months.
(8.13 at birth, went to 5th percentile and has stayed there...currently
ALMOST 18 pounds) I attribute his small size to genetics (my grandparents,
father, uncles and myself are all under 5'2").

Any thoughts on preparing for the visit with my very mainstream ignorant
regarding breastfeeding pediatrician? He is even too small when using the
BAB guidelines.
