I hope the mineral supplements help! That's great that the parents are willing to actually let the baby take the lead in baby-led solids, I find parents are happy to try it as long as the baby's ready right at 6 months, but just don't trust the process for "later" bloomers. My only ideas were to consider continuous (not taking a break for a menstrual cycle) progesterone only birth control to avoid having a period, but I would be hesitant to add it new as its another possible risk for supply. And of course, I don't have a medical license, just thinking through ideas! It makes since to pump like crazy when she can, to build up reserve, but a 10 day supply every month is a serious challenge. I'm interested in the outcome of this, keep us updated.
