The Oct 4, 2002 issue of the CDC MMWR has as its lead article West Nile Virus
in a breastfeeding mother and infant pair.

They conclude it was most likely transmitted through the breastmilk as the
infant had IgM antibodies to the virus (almost no IgM in human milk - too
large a molecule).  Have not grown the virus in the milk as yet.  Conclude
that women should CONTINUE to breastfeed.
