Phyllis Adamson posted on the thread about using pump collection kits not
intended for use with the pump in question, and mentioned in an aside that a
sterile collection set costs fifty to seventy US dollars.

For some reason that cost is a lot lower here, about twenty-five dollars for
either Medela Symphony sets or the standard Ameda collection set which is
what we stock on my ward, because we are still using the Ameda Egnell pumps
from the previous millenium. (And I will handcuff myself to them before I
see anyone try to replace them with a modern day wonder that will wear out
in another five years!)

Interesting that in one of the most expensive countries in the world to live
in, you can purchase pump parts or breastmilk substitutes for so much less
than in the US, where one would think the sheer volume would drive prices
down, not up.

Syntcinon nasal spray is cheap here too.
