Dear Lisa, throw in smoking in the home and the charts get fatter!  I
remember going from my LC job and LLL life in NJ to study in Detroit.  My
clinical was in a univ health center, little to no BF.  I was just appalled
at how sick the kids were all the time.  What a shock, I don't think I had
realized how significant an impact BF really has until you see it in the
charts.  I mean -you know- we read the research, we hang around with
healthy kids - but this is real, in
front of your face-not just "ta ta..bf babies are healthier."
Of course you won't be seeing any research/audits from me soon.  You'd have
to see the filing rooms(!) system(?) in our "medicaid mill" to understand.
