Oh wise ones,

Some years ago a NMAA/ABA counsellor in Australia advised me to look for a
pacifier that did NOT fit flush against the baby's face, to allow the lips
to turn out to the flanged position. What are your thoughts on this, and is
there any literature to support it? It's a question that comes up in my
prenatal class and whilst my hospital IBCLC is ok with the idea, it would be
nice to have a firmer basis for the information.

And yes I do give all the usual advice on avoiding pacifier use in the early
days of breastfeeding....
