Well, for what it's worth, in my experience, virtually all moms state
gleefully, "Oh I feel so much better!" or "That felt great!" after their
first shower following birth. Since most moms at our hospital have an
epidural, that is usually the evening of the birth, or usually next
morning, depending on when they birthed, and their recovery and energy.

I also can remember loving my first shower after my births too!
