In today's New York Times (Sunday, July 10th), there is an opinion piece by Erica Jong (of _Fear of Flying_ fame) in which she expounds the idea that sex is passe. She explains that women of today are more sexually repressed, or reluctant, than the women of the previous generation. Here is part of how she characterizes a modern woman's perspective on sex: "Better to give up men and sleep [cosleep] with one's children. Better to wear one's baby in a man-distancing sling and breast-feed at all hours so your mate knows your breasts don't belong to him."

I will spare you my own "opinion" of her article, as I know I will only be preaching to the choir. But, I encourage anyone who has the time to write the New York Times and let them know what you think.
