I believe that LCs need to be aware of possibly being targeted by
companies to endorse their products. The approach may sometimes
be quite subtle and may also be flattering - "we need your expert
advice". It seems to be happening here, in S.A. Dieticians and
childbirth educators who have become well-known, appear to be
selected. I am aware that this carping may appear to be sour
grapes - companies haven't ever asked me to help!

Thanks to Sue Huml for your post re. the company breastfeeding
book. My husband was ROFLOL (I'm learning the lingo) with your
description of marker in the hand. He thought I was the only one
that settles down to read articles with THE RED PEN at the ready.
Your article on "Moist Wound Healing" has been widely circulated
here.

Lynn, Fellow Sceptic.
