So then you are drying condensed milk in the Symphony tubing? That 
sounds like it could leave a residue and pose an infection risk. When I 
see mothers who are using Medela pumps who have dirty or moldy tubing, I 
have them wash the tubing well with soap, rinse with vinegar, then rinse 
with water again, swing the tubing in the air like a lariat to create 
centripetal force to push the water out (gotta watch the ceiling fan!), 
and then run the pump to dry out the residual water. Ideally, tubing 
should be changed often in open-system pumps, and certainly between 
users in a hospital setting.
