Don't know about frozen milk being used, but when our 3rd was app 1 yr, everyone got pink eye.. 6yr. old, 4 yr old and 1 yr. old. I lined them up and "washed" their eyes. It seemed logical given the antimicrobial nature of breastmilk. Pink eye cleared up in a day or so. It was practical (I lived 5 miles from town and didn't have the car that day) and inexpensive. And it was a know substance, to me. Did it really clear up the pink eye or was it the attention to hygiene and constant rinsing of the eye? Who knows, but it did make me feel better, the girls didn't mind and I felt mega powerful and thrifty!

A woman I know told me of her grandmother putting fresh cow's milk in their eyes when she was a child, to clear up conjunctivitis. Not a new practice, this woman is in her late 60's and according to her, its what they did on the farm.

Almost makes me want to relactate..LOL
