The question is why these meds and no others need by used. Celebrex, I
think, is a non steroidal antiinflammatory of which there are dozens on the
market and about which we know enough to say they are compatible with
breastfeeding. Hydrochloroquine, an old standard is okay. There are others.
The conservative approach is to assume these medications are safe, unless
there is evidence to the contrary, if there is no choice in which medication
she can take. Furthermore, the mother makes the decision, not the doctor.
Given she is devastated over this command (and she should be), she should
get another opinion and go to a physician who gives advice, not commands.
And who would look at options.
