I posted last week looking for information regarding taking progesterone or
clomid while breastfeeding. I've received one response with information from
Dr. Hale's book, the third edition (not the fourth). This is what he had to
say about Clomid: "Clomid (clomiphene) Anti-estrogenic agent. May suppress
lactation. Contraindicated in breast-feeding mothers." Thanks to Judy
Dunlap for this information. The question here now is, does this mean that
decreased milk supply is the only problem? It does not mention an effect on
the nursing child.

I'm still looking for information on Progesterone. The mother will be taking
Micronised Progesterone, 100mg. 4 times a day, orally. If you can provide
any information on this, please e-mail me in addition to the list. I am back
to receiving mail but do not want to miss anything on this. I will also
provide an update for all of you.

Thanks,
