The article whose abstract Ginna Wall posted,

<< J Pediatr Gastroenterol Nutr 1994 Jul;19(1):22-6
Allergic colitis in infancy: clinical and pathologic aspects.
Machida HM, Catto Smith AG, Gall DG, Trevenen C, Scott RB
Department of Pediatrics, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. >>

was tantalizing to me as a lay person because I know enough to sense that it
is important but not enough to understand what it means for, say, a mother
who might come to me in distress because her baby has some blood in his stool.

Can anyone with a better technical background translate this for me into
clinical implications for normal moms with bloody-diapered babies?

Many thanks!

Elisheva Urbas, lay bf busybody in NYC
