This is somewhat off topic but I wanted to mention the latest issue of
Mothering magazine. There is an article on HBAC (home birth after
cesarean) and one following it critiquing and explaining the dreaded
NEJM study on VBAC's. Both are excellent articles and I feel like
passing out the magazine on the street!
I have a feeling that at least one article will be featured on their web
page but they haven't updated it for the current issue as of yet.
Take care and happy new year everyone!
Karen
P.S. I read the article in American Baby magazine about toxins. I
actually kind of skimmed through it because I didn't know why the heck I
was reading the magazine in the first place, it's generally a big piece
of garbage IMHO, but I think sometimes I pick stuff up like that just so
I can yell at the magazine. All I have to say is that I agree with
Kathy; it's making formula look like a very acceptable choice. I really
hate publications that dumb it down for the general population; and
unfortunately most people who read it probably never even heard of
publications such as Mothering.
It's really sad...
