Well thanks for all the feedback on my picture of my daughter breastfeeding
her doll and my flyers. I thought too that that was a good way to promote my
business and breastfeeding. An eye catcher for one and then the way it
represented the whole big picture: my idealized  quest for a breastfeeding
culture and how much better we would all be if BF was a skill learned at our
mothers knee. But to make sure my fliers stayed up, I brought some other
scans to the office with the complaint and low and behold, Inside this office
there was a huge poster of a lady breastfeeding with one whole breast
exposed!! It was art but if this patient was ging to be shocked  that should
have done it. Luckily the next day in a newspaper article about a REAL child
pornographer going to trial in our town they outlined the conditions of
pornography: and genetalia has to be exposed. My picture didn't even show any
skin! It does just underscore the fact that there is so much emotion
connected to breastfeeding and in order for us to make moms more successful,
we have to keep making BF more the norm than the exception.
