The listmothers feel compelled to remind you that Lactnet is not a forum for us
as mothers to seek help with our own problems. Exceptions to this guideline
are rare, and will have been discussed with the listmothers *before* posting
to the list. Generally it is only in cases where the situation is so unusual that
there is no expertise readily available, that we approve a post from a
subscriber seeking help for her own situation. Note that this allows everyone
to learn from the case, and makes it less likely that it would be necessary to
post to the list about that problem in future.

Mothers are generally better served by in-person help than by counting on
whatever they can find on line, and that is the reason for this part of the
guidelines.

The listmothers continue to welcome queries *directly to them* from
subscribers who wish to post about their own breastfeeding problems. The
address to the listmothers is [log in to unmask]
