I'll add to that, Tina! Last week a mother came in with her one-month old, looking for a pump because the doctor said her baby was not gaining fast enough. Speaking only Spanish, her married daughter was translating. After much discussion about pumping, and whether or not to only give her milk in a bottle (the doctor's apparent idea) or whether to pump and offer some "extra" milk between nursings, finally the daughter spoke up and said "do you think it would be OK if I gave her some of MY milk? OMG! Yes!! Daughter is presently breastfeeding too. Has plenty. Will share. Yay!
