Several people mentioned they were unsure about terms used in discussing
medical research and studies (such as "dependent variable).  Check out
Chapter 23, "Research and Breastfeeding" in Riordan and Auerbach's
"Breastfeeding & Human Lactation".  While the driest chapter in the
volume, it gives a good overview of research methods and terminology.
