Teresa, I'm going to go on the premise that your are referring to what I call "the regular SNS" based on your comment for large volume. While infants need small amounts I will use the Starter SNS. It is a system I can teach the parents to use. If supplementation exceeds the Starter SNS or needs to be used for a longer time, I will recommend the "regular" SNS. I think many of us have used the syringe and feeding tube system, but since it is not recommended, the Starter SNS does the trick. I've also used it for finger feeding.
