Hi Lactnetters,
Gloria very nice to know breastfeeding is going strong. I work in
Faiafield Hospital in the South Western Sydney Area Health Service, and
we have a very large population of Vienameze mums and babies, but these
patients tell us that the colostrum is not good for the baby and say
they only start to breastfeed in Vietnam when the breast-milk comes in
day3-4. We are trying very hard to get all mothers (we have 187
different nationalities within our area)to breastfeed within one hour of
birth. Can you throw any light on this Gloria ? Your assistance would be
of great value.
