Notice of important job opportunity:

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has an excellent opportunity now
available (interviews starting today) to provide technical and administrative
assistance to the Breastfeeding promotion in Pediatric Office Practices/BPPOP
program and it's 1,000+ AAP-member pediatrician participants (the federal
Maternal and Child Health Bureau grant-funded program administered by Betty
Crase) and the 80 volunteer AAP Chapter Breastfeeding Coordinators. Duties
include development, distribution, and collection of BPPOP program research
questionnaires and surveys, program evaluation materials, and educational
materials, as well as to compile, analyze, and produce comprehensive
statistical reports on data collected.

Ideal candidates will have a BS (MS preferred) in health administration,
education, child development, lactation, or related field. One to two years
experience in research, data collection and analysis, health care association
management, or grant management required. Exceptional organization,
communication, and computer (MS Word, Excel) skills required.

If interested, please send resume AND salary history to:

I would love to be able to work with a lactation consultant with some
research experience (we're fast moving;no time to learn from ground zero) who
wants to help facilitate physician education about breastfeeding. You would
get to work with great pediatricians who have set the standards in lactation
research and clinical management and help to influence a new generation of
pediatricians eager to learn all about lactation. The position needs to be
filled ASAP.

Sincerely,
Betty Crase
