I am immensely grateful to those people who worked so hard to help Maryland
state law reflect the basic human right of a baby to food and comfort, and a
mother's right to feed and comfort her baby free from harassment. I also
feel grateful to Rosa Parks, for her example of extreme courage in the face
of terrible discrimination and human rights violations, and to Maggie Kuhn,
who said "speak your mind, even if your voice shakes."

Lynnette Hafken, MA, Mother of 3, LLLL, IBCLC
