Although I did not get the long list of references for breastfeeding when I 
searched the National Child Health Study site, I did email the contact listed 
there with the concern about accurate definitions and data collection on 
infant feeding (no name,  just an emial address found at:  
www.nationalchildrensstudy.gov).  I have not yet recieved a reply. 

I work at a hospital that was just named as an additional study site and I have 
contacted the principle investigator for our site.  She indicated that they are 
just beginning to see the data collection items and did not yet know the 
answer to this question (I think it is possible that not all sites will study all the 
questions) though she is a known supporter of the importance of 
breastfeeding...and I will follow up with her..
