Kathy Dettwyler wrestled with a keyboard and this emerged:
> Here in Texas, you sometimes see moms giving babies bottles of Coca-cola or
> manzanilla tea, or regular iced-tea, or apple juice, or whatever -- and this
> applies to woman of all socio-economic statuses and ethnicities

Ditto in Oklahoma, which we escaped from last year. I mean,
that's what those cute little Dr. Pepper bottles are for, right? I also
frequently saw women walking around Walmart with a 6mo baby,
with a full 8oz bottle of apple juice. You could tell by the color that
it wasn't watered down. Ignorance is universal.

I'm with Kathy. The only organisms that are alive are the ones that
have a facility for adaptation. [Well, apparently random quirks help,
too. ;-) ] January 1st is fast approaching; maybe we'll see that no-
formula scenario played out in some way.

Regards
Beth
