Hi All,
I just wanted to share with you all an experience I had today.
A mum I assisted in the birth of her daughter 18 months ago, they
thanked me at the time and I thought that was that. However, this couple
have been to the hospital about twice to look for me, on both occasions
I have been away on those days. Today they returned again to to see me
and give me a small gift, now it was not the gift, but the insistance to
see me and showing me their beautiful daughter, and stated infron of the
Director of Nursing "for your kind attitude which made the birth of our
first daughter a very special experience, may god bless you and give you
strength as you go on doing such an importand job, bringing his lives
into this world".
I was greatly moved and over come for a while today. I have delivered a
couple of thousand babies over the years, but today I felt very humble,
with such kindness out there from loving parents.
I am sure you have had this experience yourselves.
Regards,
Hannah M Herod M.P.H.
