Thank you for all of your suggestions, online and off! The mom has a handful
of very good resources, and a great start. She induced lactation for her
last baby, and will be able to continue with milk via pumping or at the
breast, whichever is recommended.

She did contact a milk bank, and the price is steep, $4.25/ounce. Wow. They
may be able to get funding for that (donations), but at that price, it is
out of their financial reach. She did not mention insurance status.

Thanks again!

Hi Sam,

We feed our HIV pos babies in our transition home with donor breastmilk and
they thrive. Within days of starting them on donor milk the eczema clears,
the diarrhoea stops and they have far fewer opportunistic infections. Are
there any Human Milk Banks in your area who would be willing to supply
breastmilk?

Pam's suggestion of the adoptive Mother pumping and bottle feeding is a good
one and she could top up with donor human milk. That would be first prize.
