I'm just curious as this happened in the hospital where I work too.  Now, we
feel we walk on eggshells.  I want to give mother's correct information,
even when it contradicts the MD.  At the same time, it is counterproductive
to be excluded from seeing breastfeeding mothers.

Do physicians really have the right to not allow an LC to see patients?  Do
they own the patients?  I can't comprehend how a mother can be excluded from
a standard of care that the hospital follows because her doctor is on an ego
trip.
