I'm wondering, do you have to provide a balanced book for tobacco? How
about cocaine? Is there a book about the wonderful reasons the average
person should use heroin? How about a balanced book about car seats. A
book on the theory that car seats are bad for babies and that mothers
who place babies in baskets on the floor of the car or hold them in arms
should not feel guilty because they were not able to learn or did not
want to learn to use a car seat? Maybe there is a balanced book for 100
reasons not to wear a helmet. Personally, I don't care if adults don't
wear helmets while they are going 90 mph on the freeway in california,
we need to get organs from someone, but they are making informed
decisions and are risking only their own life. But I hardly think you
would have a book about things that are truly dangerous that are
presented as an equal choice (helmet or no helmet) just to provide a
balance of information.
