Thank you for posting this Betsy!
  I attended a performance of this play at the Motherhood center in Houston yesterday. It was WONDERFUL!! So inspiring!
  And I agree with Betsy, this may seem off topic but they are indirectly linked.

  As supporters of normal human lactation we should all support improved maternity services for all women. At the very least this play gets a wonderful discussion going about what women are experiencing in childbirth today- women need to share their birth stories more! And talking is just the begining of change. What came through loud and clear in this play was not that all women should have "A" or "B" to have the "best" birth, but that women should have the information to make informed decisions to have the birth THEY want- cool! It's about making birth experiences better for women.

Subject: Birth on Labor Day event

I just wanted to share a really neat thing with all of you. I was=20
priviliged to be invited to be a member of a panel discussion after the=20=

presentation of the BOLD event (Birth On Labor Day)in West Hartford,=20
Connecticut last evening. This is only indirectly related to lactation bu=
t=20
you can see the connection. This is the main website for this movement=20=

http://www.birththeplay.com/bold/bold.html.=20

It was a really terrific experience and I would urge all of you who are=20=

interested to read over this website and get involved when and if you can=
.=20
The entire movement is about empowering women to take back their births.

This play is presented (as a reading) in many parts of the country around=
=20
Labor Day Weekend and so if you are interested in getting it into your=20=

area next year, this is the time to connect with someone and get the ball=
=20
rolling.
