My middle child was like this (I wouldn't take her to church either). The
offending odors gradually faded over time a relatively short period of
time--probably by 3 months. I just kind of noticed one day that she wasn't
stinky anymore. She was an extremely happy, cheerful baby with no obvious
food intolerances until she started consuming cow's milk products directly.
They didn't appear to cause her trouble through the milk but she got
terrible constipation from eating it herself. The problem seemed to
increase as her nursing decreased (she weaned at 27 months). I took her off
dairy at 4 years (took me a while to clue into the problem) and now at
almost 7 years we are starting to reintroduce the dairy.
