Well, to what are we comparing these elective cesareans?  To planned 
vaginal birth? Well, planned vaginal birth in American hospitals are a 
nightmare! And as many as half end up as cesareans anyway. So, again, 
this is not a compariosn between what nature designed and surgical 
birth. It is a comparison between two forms of traumatic, invasive, 
medicalized brutality. In that case, I am not sure what variables one 
would even evaluate.
