Katharine,

"majority of engorgement due to the Not Breastfeeding Decision resolves on its own within three days anyway. 

That was my feeling too, but I was so afraid that that was another one of the debunked "myths" of breastfeeding, and  I just hadn't heard about it yet. 

So the question becomes, does it make you more comfortable during the three days than just cabbage leaves would?  Or cabbage leaves plus a pain reliever.  Or just the pain reliever?

  This is no surprise. I'd say the vast So this mom paid an extra $30 for something her body did
naturally. Any extra relief she obtained, since she was using cabbage
leaves also, was probably pretty minimal for the price.
