I can understand Jonathan's hurt feelings.  However (this is one my husband
and I don't agree on), if a man has to take his baby/child in to work he is
more likely to get some of the "maternal types" in the office to help out.
If a woman has to take a baby in she is thought to be a poor planner and
nobody offers to help.

Hope that I'm not stepping on too many toes here, but that seem to "be the
way it is" all too often.   By the way- my husabnd's secretary a few weeks
ago wanted to come back to work 2 weeks post-partum because she was going
stir crazy at home.  My husband said yes as long as she brought the
baby-which she was delighted to do!   nancy Sherwood IBCLC
