I need individuals (preferably MD's) who are willing to speak to a plastic
surgeon concerning breastfeeding pre and post surgery of a 6 month old's
palate.  The baby has been breastfeeding and thriving.  Has had numerous ear
infections and "reflux".  The cleft palate has just been diagnosed.  The
mother ( a speech pathologist) does not want to wean.  I called the Cleft Lip
and Palate Foundation and the response was that this is the accepted protocol.
 Is there anyone out there who can help?  Thank you.
