This baby may be sucking with high pressures.

You could try test feeds with a well applied nipple shield.

Test weigh to check volume transferred so that you are confident of where
mum's milk supply is and that baby is adequately nourished.

The nipple shield has been proven to drop suction pressures with some high
suction pressure babies.

This has proved to be a very valuable management strategy for sore nipples
as it can relief pain for mother.

It may help to also do some baby-led attachment.
Best wishes and please keep us posted
