I finally got my September Natural History today in the mail, and it
includes a teaser for next month's issue:

Anthropology: Our Babies, Ourselves. Anthropologists and pediatricians
examine how parents in various societies deal with breastfeeding, crying,
sleeping arrangements, and other aspects of infant care. Common Western
practices, they conclude, often conflict with basic biological needs.

Whee! The main article is written by anthropologist Meredith Small, with
side-bars by me (about age at weaning) and James McKenna (about
co-sleeping), and others. Should rattle a few cages, shake a few trees, etc.
