I have heard the same problem, leaking too much, with the lily pads. I 
have a weekly support group for breastfeeding moms and these have been the 
topic several times. The mothers did say they liked the pads for quick 
trips to the store,etc., because they do not show through clothing as 
much, but extended time away from baby left many with a pool of milk, 
sometimes on moms shirt.
