We use the sterile volufeeders from the formula company. They also
supply the plastic caps that are clean not sterile. We have volunteers
using sterile gloves package them in 4caps/bag for each. The mother
takes as many bottles as they need and four caps at at time. You could
bag them in 2caps/bag or more if you wanted. We've been doing this for
at least 4 years without increase in infection.
Thank you,
Darlene Breed, BSN, RN, IBCLC
Coordinator, Milk Bank & Breastfeeding Center, Worcester, MA (USA)
Treasurer, Human Milk Bank Association of North America (HMBANA)
