I did ask about chemical exposure as a child or when her mom was pregnant

Jaye, and all,

This is a very interesting piece of our puzzles these days. I feel like I
have seen several moms who grew up in a particular county, when their
breasts were developing, who were unrelated but all showed really poor milk
production capabilities we could not overcome. I also suspect that many of us do
not know the possible environmental contaminants that were present and may
have had profound but subtle ( until now, when we start to look at
breastfeeding as a broad public health issue) affect on an individual person. It
reminds me of that study years ago where women who grew up in the valley (
where the contaminant level was high) had serious breast development and
function issues, while those in the highlands were not affected. Does anyone
remember that? I feel like we are only now beginning to see the price of
environmental degradation and contamination.

Peace,
Judy
