Poor mam!  This sounds a alot like what I went through!  I know recently
there was a lot of talk about vasospasm here.  It is more common than
many of us would ever think.  Check with mom to see if she has cold
hands and feet a lot.  If she suffers in the cold months, it is possible
that this too is vasospasm.  I did more Diflucan than I would care to
talk about, and it helped, but as with this mom, my symptoms returned,
often before I could finish the full course.  Once I started on a low
dose of Nifedipine, the pain was gone within a week, and I was one happy
mom.
